Starting this coming Monday, PIX will be hosting a Podcast, I'll be hosting and will have a football discussion with one of our participants. The first week we'll be talking sports with last years' champion, Brenna.
Okay...that's plugged. The Denver Broncos will now be preparing to play the first six games without one of their best defensive players in Von Miller, as the NFL today announced that he will be suspended 6-games for violation of the league substance abuse policy. This makes me wonder, though...how are all these players coming back from major knee issues and playing in 6 or 7 months? I'm not blaming anyone or making accusations, but it's just curious. In baseball, Alex Rodriguez had well-documented hip issues and allegedly took performance enhancing drugs to assist in his return. Baseball is not as much as contact sport as is football, so how is this done? Is it that as fans we just think that football players are tougher and decide to overlook their quick comebacks and think that's part of the game? Just something to think about.
Oh, and did you see the hit the Dolphins' player took on Saturday? The knee is not supposed to go that direction, ouch!! Very painful to watch, can only imagine what he felt.
